I have finished my first round of articles on my new Shakespeare series. For the series, I’m going through the bard’s plays and writing essay-style articles to bring forward interesting aspects you may have never considered. I first decided to write about one of his most popular plays, Romeo and Juliet. I had a lot of fun reading the play and criticisms about it. There are some really bad TV and film adaptations of the tragedy, so I also hope to direct you to the best of the best. (You can skip the 1982 and 2013 versions.)

For the Romeo and Juliet articles, I looked at Zeffirelli’s film, Romeo + Juliet, Radiohead, anthropology, and various art.

I am considering doing one more article on Romeo and Juliet; if I do it, it will be more of a bonus piece. So if you’re not ready to say goodbye to this play, then be relieved to know that there could be another article… again, that’s if I decide to go backwards and revisit the play.
