Why Pangolins Are Endangered

Every year, thousands of pangolins are trafficked for their scales, which are boiled off their bodies for traditional medicine. Some people also believe their blood has magical healing properties. The meat is considered a delicacy in China and in other parts of Asia.

More than one million pangolins have been trafficked in the last decade.
